Hello, Welcome to our Trips page. Here are some pictures, information, and stories about some of the trips we have made around the Yukon and elsewhere. I have tried to keep the image sizes small and the number of images low on the pages, however some of the pages may take a while to load if you are on a slow connection. Where ever I can, I have used thumbnails that link to larger images, but the following pages have anywhere from 1 - 4 600 x 480 pictures on them. I have tried to keep the pictures under 150K in size and many are only 70 - 80 K.
Here is a link to our 10 Day trip down the Teslin River. We left from Johnsons Crossing, where the highway crosses the Teslin River. The Teslin River flows into the Yukon River at Hootalinqua, North of Lake Labarge. This trip ended when we arrived in Carmacks YT.
This link takes you to pictures of our short, 3 day trip down the Takhini River from Kusuwa Lake to where the Takhini crosses the Alaska Highway. We were going to get out where the Takhini joins the Yukon, but the weather was cool, there was a ban on campfires due to the dry weather (this ban ended shortly after our trip due in part to the 2 days of rain and cool weather during our trip), and as a result we did not feel like going the whole distance.
Here is our trip up Squanga Creek (with a paddle) when we went exploring for a long weekend. We had our 18 month old with us this trip.
